Having visited your salon today (Saturday 25th April) I was beyond disappointed with the service provided. I came in around 3pm with my mum to use the sun beds. I was greeted in an empty salon by an Asian "gentleman" and a child. There were no other customers yet the man was in a rush to get us in, once we paid and explained we wanted a 3 minute (for my mum) and a 6 minute session. He showed us into two separate sections, the stand up sunbed right behind the till and the back one. Again, not a single person was around and yet we were just left to it, no explanation of how things work, no offer to provide additional lotions or eye protection. In my "booth" there was a half empty, open Tesco value wet wipes and an antiperspirant on the floor along with candy wrappers and no hooks to hang your clothing. Regardless, we went through, hoping the beds would make up for the lack of everything else your "salon" had to offer. I put the tokens given into the machine slot and went into the subbed and immediately noticed that the lights provided very little heat and the fan, which I could not turn off, was on full blast to cold air. I realise that the fan is a necessity and even welcome in other sun beds I've been in, especially when I'm 3 minutes in and sweating. This however was not the case in your beds. I came out 6 minutes later, having not even broken a sweat, glad to put my clothes back on to get warm. I came out and saw from my mum's reaction, she didn't fare any better. She told me that her machine had the lights turned off after a minute and only the fan function on. She couldn't switch the lights on so she got dressed and came out. I started to explain our grievances to the gentleman who turned and said "If you're not happy, it's not my job, you have to talk to the manager." I asked to speak to the manager and after two minutes a lady emerged from the back of the shop and so I began to explain it to her. At this point, the "gentleman" explained to her that my mum had only paid for 3 minutes and said that what I had explained (the lights turning off) could not have happened. I reminded him that he should be careful with his choice of words in front of the customer as he was essentially calling us liars and he said "Not lying but 3 minutes is too short, it felt like a minute but she didn't know" I then opened the door to the front sunbed and showed him the timer in there and asked him to come and see it for himself that you can see how many minutes you're in there and if my mum said it was a minute, it was a minute. The lady he had called forth was not the manager, the manager was not around and despite me leaving my details, the manager has not deemed it fit to contact me and apologise. We were offered an additional 3 minutes but frankly, with the low quality of the lights (which, after enquiring, I was advised were recently renewed which is worrying) there was no point. At 50p per minute, the money was not the issue here, although we were refunded the £1.50 the non functioning 3 minutes cost me and I was told that the one I had used, hadn't actually been used today and therefore the bed needed longer to actually heat up. In other salons, where this is the case, the bed is actually turned on a good 10 minutes at least before they let you use it however, this was not the case. Overall, don't go here. Ever. Unless you want a waste of money, an absentee manager and a rude Asian man calling you a liar.
