STARS (Service Teaching Adults Realistic Skills) are service providers for young adults with additional needs aged between 18 and 25. We run 50 weeks per year, from 9.30-3.30. We offer both social and academic learning, including life skills.

My daughter has been attending Stars since last year and absolutely loves it. She literally bounces out of bed in the mornings excited to start another day at Stars. She has made so many new friends. Each day is different and varied and her confidence has grown considerably. She has learnt a lot of new skills there and is learning more and more all the time. All the staff are lovely and very friendly and helpful. Myself and my daughter are extremely pleased with the service. I would highly recommend it!

My son is enjoying his second year of STARS. He has gained a lot of confidence and is gaining independence skills such as shopping, building relationships and work skills. He enjoys being with his friends and likes all of the staff that run the provision. I am happy with the timetable offered and like the idea that the young people were involved in devising it. I would be more than happy to recommend the provision.

As a staff member for Stars I would like to let people know what a wonderful organisation it is. We have nineteen young adults at the moment each with different needs. Everyone is happy and loves coming to Stars. The parents tell us how excited there son or daughter is in the mornings when the bus arrives to collect them. We do so many different things during the week like computer lessons, shopping, cooking, art with a teacher, maths and English with a teacher, music, dance, gym, golf, snooker, museums, library visits, jewellery making and special days out like the seaside and theme parks or trips to the zoo and lots more. The young adults are a lovely bunch of people and are all really friendly towards each other. It is a happy, safe, caring, clean and friendly environment which makes it a lovely place for our young adults to attend every day and an even better place to work.
